Sad news: Anton Stankov has passed away
The Bulgarian legal community is in mourning following the news of the passing of former Minister of Justice Anton Stankov. He left this world at only 60 years of age.

Brief biography and professional path
Anton Stankov was born on February 17, 1966, in the city of Yambol. He dedicated his life to law, graduating from the Faculty of Law at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".
- 1992 – 1994: Worked as a district judge in Shumen.
- 2001 – 2005: Held the position of Minister of Justice in the government of Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
- Chairman of the SJC: During his term, he headed the Supreme Judicial Council.
Over the years, Stankov was an established name in the judicial system, also holding the position of Chairman of the Penal College of the Sofia City Court. He also actively participated in the work of the Legal Commission of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee.
Stankov will be remembered for his professionalism and his contribution to the development of the judicial system in Bulgaria.
