Teams from the Second District Police Department in Burgas uncovered a series of crimes committed in resort facilities by young offenders. During a large-scale police operation, a total of four suspects were detained for two different crimes.
In the first case, law enforcement officers stopped a BMW 535 with Sofia registration, driven by an 18-year-old youth. During a thorough search of the vehicle, six branded perfumes were found, acquired through illegal means from two commercial establishments in Mall Galeria.
The criminal offenses were committed between August 6 and 8, with significant damages. Nine perfumes worth 2,549 leva were stolen from the first store, and five perfumes worth 1,634 leva from the second. The driver of the vehicle was detained for the maximum allowed 24 hours.
Parallel to this case, on the night of August 9 around 02:50, a report of another theft was received at the Police Department - Nessebar. The crime was committed in an apartment in the Phoenix complex in the resort of Sunny Beach, occupied by two young men aged 27 and 24.
Police officers quickly identified the perpetrators - a 40-year-old man from the village of Rusokastro and a 17-year-old youth from the village of Gloginka. They entered the apartment through an open balcony door while the owners were walking along the coastal alley.
Headphones, a branded watch, two pairs of sunglasses, slippers, two pairs of sneakers, two perfumes, and approximately 920 leva were stolen from the apartment. The detained perpetrators made full confessions, and a pre-trial proceeding was initiated.
