The weekend is marked by party forums. After Radan Kanev was elected leader of DSB yesterday, today "We Continue the Change" held its general assembly. There are no leadership intrigues in the ranks of PP, after Kiril Petkov stepped down from the co-chair position a year ago and Asen Vasilev took over the sole leadership of the party.

The agenda of the forum was focused precisely around Vasilev – a personal leadership report, an analysis of the results of the last parliamentary elections before the delegates, as well as outlining the strategy for the upcoming presidential vote.

Before the delegates, Asen Vasilev announced that after the collapse of the PP–DB coalition, new members have joined "We Continue the Change". According to him, the party's membership has grown by about 400 people.

The topic of the presidential elections was also among the highlights. Vasilev stated to journalists that they are working in close cooperation with DSB, "Yes, Bulgaria" and civil organizations to nominate a joint candidate for head of state.

"I expect, perhaps, by the end of the summer we will already have a specific candidate to support. It will be a unified candidacy. I wouldn't call it right-wing, but rather a candidacy that belongs to all Bulgarian citizens. These are majoritarian elections, not party ones," emphasized Asen Vasilev.

He categorically rejected the option of a joint presidential nomination with GERB, making it clear that PP will seek support within its political family and among partner formations from the democratic spectrum, but not through an alliance with the ruling party.
