Police in Pomorie and Burgas have uncovered a series of bicycle thefts. Several suspects have been detained and have made full confessions.

The effective actions of the police departments in Pomorie and Burgas have led to the solving of a series of bicycle thefts that have been troubling residents of both cities in recent weeks. The investigations have led to the detention of several individuals who have made full confessions.

Two cases in Pomorie: A man from the capital detained for a series of thefts

Officers from the Pomorie District Department managed to identify and detain a 52-year-old man from Sofia, who is suspected of two separate bicycle thefts in the seaside city. The investigation initially began with a report of a stolen branded bicycle, owned by a 42-year-old Pomorie resident. The theft was committed around 3:00 PM on September 4 from the area of "Zahari Stoyanov" Street. After his detention, the man made a full confession and returned the stolen bicycle to its owner.

During the investigation, it was established that the same man was also responsible for another bicycle theft, valued at about 2,500 BGN, which was committed on September 5. The victim was a 52-year-old Pomorie resident, and the theft occurred in front of the "Rose Garden" restaurant on "Ropotamo" Street. The second stolen bicycle was also found and seized by police officers. Both cases have been registered as expedited proceedings, which highlights the seriousness of the crimes.

Investigations in Burgas: Two men with criminal records have been detained

Significant successes in the fight against bicycle thefts were also registered in Burgas. Officers from the Fifth District Department – Burgas worked on a report of a stolen bicycle, owned by a 36-year-old Burgas resident. The theft was committed on August 28 from the landing of block 207 in the "Izgrev" residential complex. As a result of the operational and investigative actions carried out, a 42-year-old man, who has a criminal record and convictions, was identified and detained. He made a full confession. The investigation into the case continues.

At the same time, the Second District Department – Burgas is investigating the theft of a children's bicycle, valued at about 500 BGN, which was taken on September 6 from block 196 in the "Slaveykov" residential complex. The owner of the bicycle is a 33-year-old woman from Burgas. During the work on the case, a 48-year-old man, also with a criminal past, was identified and detained. He made a full confession and returned the stolen children's bicycle. The investigative actions continue to clarify all the circumstances surrounding the crime.

These cases highlight the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat petty crime, which often affects the property of citizens, and show that no crime goes unsolved.
