A police chase unfolded in the streets of the Burgas village of Lozenets, which ended with the arrest of 24 illegal migrants being transported in a crowded van. The incident, which attracted the attention of dozens of local residents, highlights the seriousness of the migratory pressure in the region.

Dramatic Chase

The dramatic chase began when officers of the "Border Police" tried to stop a suspicious van with a Ruse registration on "Strandzha" street. According to information from the scene, the vehicle was moving unusually slowly, which aroused suspicion. However, at the sight of the patrol, the driver suddenly hit the gas, turning a routine check into a risky pursuit through the narrow streets of the village.

In his chaotic attempt to evade the authorities, the driver of the van also caused a traffic accident, hitting two parked cars. The climax of the pursuit came when he jumped from the moving van, leaving it to coast and stop on its own. Unfortunately, despite the large-scale operation, the driver managed to escape and is still being sought by the authorities.

Arrest and Medical Aid

After the van was stopped, the police found 24 foreign citizens of Afghan origin inside. The entire operation was carried out without injuries, but despite this, emergency medical teams arrived at the scene and performed medical examinations on the detained migrants. At this moment, the area is cordoned off and additional investigative actions are being carried out.

This incident in Lozenets is yet another proof of the incessant attempts at human trafficking through the country. Just days ago, in a similar police chase near Shabla, one migrant died and five others were injured after a serious crash. Some time ago, another tense pursuit in Sofia also ended with action and gunfire, which shows the escalating tension. These events highlight the growing urgency of the problem of illegal migration and human trafficking, which threatens not only the security of the borders but also the lives of the migrants themselves.
