A midnight police chase in the Varna region, which stretched for a full 100 kilometers, is on the verge of entering the Guinness World Records. The incident, which will leave a lasting impression, is indicative of the police's determination to pursue offenders, but at the same time raises questions about the dangers of driving under the influence.

What happened last night began when a signal was received from Dalgopol at the police stations about a young man who had gotten behind the wheel after consuming alcohol. According to information provided by the authorities, the driver of the powerful car had headed towards Provadia. The police in the area were on alert, but when they tried to stop him, he refused to obey the law.

Thus began the dramatic chase, which turned into a nightmare for law enforcement officers, lasting a full 100 kilometers. Teams from Dalgopol, Provadia, Novi Pazar, Shumen and Devnya participated in the pursuit. Numerous police cars, with flashing lights and sirens, pursued the stubborn violator. All actions were coordinated by the operational duty unit in Varna, ensuring continuous control and guidance.

Despite the tense situation and high speed, the police decided not to use coercive means to stop, such as spikes. The responsible officials explained that this decision was made because of the enormous danger to the life of the driver and the other road users.

The pursuit ended dramatically in the area of the Varna village of Yagnilovo, where the offender's car self-crashed and stopped. Additional police teams arrived at the scene of the incident, who immediately took the necessary actions.

The police tested the 33-year-old driver for alcohol. The results were startling - 2.29 per mille of alcohol in the blood were recorded. Along with the driver, a passenger was also in the car, who was also intoxicated.

It was established that the driver is a resident of a village in the Shumen region. In addition, he is well known to law enforcement, with a criminal past and a total of 21 fines for violations of the Road Traffic Act. The abundance of violations underlines the recklessness and disregard for the law on the part of this person. The incident raises questions about the need for stricter control and preventive measures to ensure the safety of all road users.
