On the eve of the new school year, the city of Pomorie hosted a key meeting that gathered the heads of all educational institutions in the municipality. The meeting, which has already become a tradition, was organized at the invitation of Mayor Ivan Aleksiev and aimed to coordinate the final preparations before the first school bell. In an atmosphere of efficiency and anticipation, directors of schools, kindergartens, and the Municipal Children"s Complex came together to discuss the upcoming challenges and to confirm their full readiness to welcome their students on September 15.
Along with Mayor Aleksiev, key figures from the municipal administration were also present at the meeting, ready to answer any questions raised by the heads of the educational institutions. Project Manager Georgi Petkov presented the attendees with detailed information about the "Education 2021-2027" Program, which opens up new funding opportunities. This program is aimed at supporting students with outstanding talents, with the goal of stimulating and developing their abilities beyond the scope of the standard curriculum.
One of the most discussed topics that sparked a serious debate was the issue of using mobile phones in educational institutions. Mayor Ivan Aleksiev expressed his categorical support for the introduced ban, and his words resonated strongly in the hall. He emphasized that the problem with mobile devices is much deeper than simply disrupting the learning process. "Phones don"t ruin the learning process, they directly spoil our children,"—this is how the mayor described the seriousness of the situation, and his tone was both strict and filled with concern for the future of the younger generation. In an emotional address to the directors, he appealed to their responsibility and role as leaders: "We are counting on you—provoke the children, because tomorrow they will be in our places, and real life is not lived with artificial intelligence". These words sounded like a call to return to the values of the real world and live communication.
After the discussions ended, the directors of all educational institutions in the municipality, including schools, kindergartens, and the Municipal Children_q_s Complex, confirmed that they are fully ready to start the school year.
