Torchlight procession in Burgas honored the memory of Vasil Levski

Over 600 students and 250 teachers from Burgas participated in a torchlight procession dedicated to the 153rd anniversary of the death of Vasil Levski. The procession reached the Apostle's monument in the Sea Garden, where wreaths and flowers were laid.

More than 600 students from 21 schools and 250 teachers from 35 kindergartens took part in the torchlight procession organized by Burgas Municipality in memory of Vasil Levski, which became the culmination of the events marking 153 years since the Apostle of Freedom's death.

The procession was led by the guard squad of PGEE “Konstantin Fotinov“ and the students of PGCE “Vasil Levski“.

The column passed along “Aleksandrovska“ and “Bogoridi“ streets, heading towards the Apostle's monument in the Sea Garden, where students, teachers and citizens laid wreaths and flowers.

Deputy Mayor for Education Mihail Nenov, the director of the “Education“ Directorate Katya Misheva, directors of Burgas schools and kindergartens also took part in the initiative.
