Children from the bagpipe class at the United Municipal School of Arts – Nessebar represented the city with honor at the International Competition for Musical, Dance and Fine Arts "Orpheus Talents" in Plovdiv.
Over the course of four days, the students of the UMSA participated in one of the most large-scale forums for young musicians in the country. The event was hosted by the Academy of Musical, Dance and Fine Arts "Prof. Asen Diamandiev".
Part of the program was the National Folklore Meeting "A Bridge Between Generations – Elena's Song Bridge", realized through master classes led by prominent performers in the field of Bulgarian song and instrumental folklore. The event brought together nearly 5,000 participants from different age groups and areas.
In the "Musical Art" section, "Folk Instruments" category, two students of the school were awarded prestigious prizes:
- Alexander Andonov – IV age group – winner of the "Golden Lyre of Orpheus";
- Marian Kolev – III age group – winner of the "Bronze Lyre of Orpheus".
The young musicians are trained in the "Bagpipe" class with teachers Dimitar Petev and Petko Stoyanov, whose dedicated work and professionalism establish the high level of preparation at the United Municipal School of Arts – Nessebar.
The achievements of the Nessebar talents are further proof of the significant presence of Nessebar Municipality in the cultural life of the country and the successful development of young talents in the field of Bulgarian folklore.
