The large-scale pricing transformation in Plovdiv is entering a decisive phase, with commercial establishments demonstrating different adaptation rates to new European requirements. While large trading chains started the re-labeling process a month ago, smaller trading points rely on the provided grace period.

The owner of a neighborhood store shared with reporters that most customers do not experience difficulties in perceiving the dual pricing. Sales consultants explain that technical adaptation is happening parallel to daily trading activities, with cash registers already reprogrammed to generate printouts with prices in both currencies.

The healthcare sector shows a high degree of readiness - pharmacies and drugstores have widely implemented the new requirements. The situation is similar in food establishments in the central city area, whose menus already reflect the dual valuation.

However, some delay is observed in clothing and accessories stores, where trading representatives point to the time-consuming re-labeling process as the main challenge. Official changes in the Euro Introduction Law, published on August 8, provide for mandatory price listings in euros.

State policy demonstrates flexibility by introducing a three-month grace period until October 8, during which traders will not be sanctioned. This approach aims to ensure a smooth and problem-free adaptation to new European trade standards.
