From today until August 24, five Bulgarians will represent Bulgaria at the Youth Swimming World Championship in Otopeni.

Five Bulgarian Swimmers Begin Participation in Youth World Championship in Otopeni

Five Bulgarian athletes start today at the Youth Swimming World Championship, which will be held in the Romanian city of Otopeni until August 24. Bulgaria will be represented in several individual disciplines and in the 4x200 meters freestyle relay.

Daren Kirilov and Adrian Yoninov will compete in 50, 100, and 200 meters backstroke, while Vasil Tushev (100 and 200 meters), David Naydenov (200 and 400 meters), and Alex Naydenov (400 meters) will participate in freestyle. The four will be led by coaches Kristiyan Minkovski and Veselin Surov, and physiotherapist Prof. Lyubomir Petrov will join the team.
