New spiritual route unites Burgas and Sozopol
Burgas Municipality officially joins the "Path to the Relics of St. John the Baptist" initiative. This unique pilgrimage route, inspired by the famous Camino, starts from Malko Tarnovo and passes through picturesque areas to reach Sozopol.
"Path to the Relics of St. John the Baptist" combines spirituality, history, and sustainable tourism.
Walking route "Believe in Burgas"
Burgas is developing its own urban branch, which leads pilgrims through key cultural and religious sites:
- Tourist Information Center (place for a pilgrim passport)
- "Surp Hach" Armenian Church and "Saint Mary" Temple
- City Art Gallery (The Synagogue)
- "Sea Casino" Cultural Center and the Bridge
- Ethnographic Museum and "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" Cathedral
- The Arch of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and Catholic churches
Every participant can receive their pilgrim passport and stamps at the Tourist Center, the Ethnographic Museum, and the "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" Temple.
