Road conditions in the country:
According to the Ministry of Interior, over the past 24 hours, 29 traffic accidents were registered, in which 5 people died and 33 were injured. For comparison, during the same period in 2025, there were 107 fatalities. In Sofia, 13 light and 2 heavy accidents were registered, in which 4 people were injured.
Restrictions on motorways:
A1 "Trakia":
- Sofia region: Drive with increased caution at Muhovo (km 44+400 to km 46+480) in the direction of Burgas until 31.12.2026.
- Pazardzhik region: Speed restrictions up to 100 km/h in sections between km 66+750 and km 80+250. Deadline for removal of irregularities. Traffic from km 99+000 to km 106+427 in the direction of Burgas is carried out in the active lane until 27.04.2026.
- Sliven region: Drive with increased caution from km 229+286 to km 273+354 due to ditch cleaning until 30.04.2026.
- Burgas region: Drive with increased caution from km 342+100 to km 348+250 in the direction of Burgas, speed up to 80 km/h until 11.05.2026.
A2 "Hemus":
- Sofia region: Drive with increased caution from km 0+000 to km 14+000 due to mowing of grassy areas until 30.04.2026. Speed restrictions in various sections, including up to 90 km/h and 12 t. until 15.05.2026.
- Lovech region: Temporary organization with restrictive elements from km 87+400 to km 87+675 until 02.11.2027. Restrictions for vehicles over 12.5 t from km 87+800 to km 98+150 until 02.11.2027.
- Road tunnels: In the Topli Dol tunnel (A2 Hemus), traffic is regulated with a temporary organization until 30.04.2026.
- Varna region: Drive with increased caution in the Sunchevo - Varna section (km 417+000 to km 424+000) until 29.04.2026.
A3 "Struma":
- Sofia region: Drive with increased caution in sections for cleaning and emergency activities until 27.04.2026.
- Pernik region: Temporary traffic organization at PV Daskalovo until 30.04.2026.
- Blagoevgrad region: Traffic restriction from km 97+500 to km 104+300 in the direction of Sofia due to a landslide until 27.04.2026.
- Kyustendil region: Traffic in one lane at km 52+358 due to the removal of defects until 27.04.2026.
A4 "Maritsa", "Cherno More", "Europa": No restrictions have been introduced.
