Successful start for the "Slaveykov" Energy Community
The "Slaveykov" Energy Community in Burgas held its first general meeting, marking an important step towards energy independence. The project, implemented on the roof and parking lot of the "Arena OZK" swimming complex, is already generating real financial results.
"This is the first energy community in the region and the largest in terms of member count and investment budget in the country," the administration noted.
Key facts about the project:
- Production: 960 photovoltaic panels located on the roof and above the swimming pool's parking lot.
- Finance: Generated revenue of over 10,000 euros before completing a full year of operation.
- Strategy: Currently, 85% of the energy is being sold, with plans being considered to supply kindergartens with the remainder.
Burgas Municipality is actively supporting the initiative by covering accounting and legal services, with the hope that this model will be replicated in other parts of the country.
