At the upcoming National Assembly session, a declaration of exceptional political significance will be reviewed, aimed at condemning the ongoing military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The document, submitted by the parliamentary group of "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria", received support from the majority of deputies.

During the voting to include it in the agenda, the project was supported by 122 votes from representatives of GERB-SDS, PP-DB, "DPS-New Beginning" and four independent MPs. The declaration will be reviewed as the third item on the parliamentary program.

At the same time, the deputies rejected four separate draft resolutions related to a request from the acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov to remove the immunities of three "Revival" deputies - Ivaylo Chorbov, Nikola Dimitrov, and Slavcho Krumov, who participated in riots in front of the European Commission building in Sofia.

During the session, a sharp verbal clash erupted between MPs Tsoncho Ganev from "Revival" and Yavor Bozhanov from PP-DB. Ganev made sharp criticisms of his opponents, hinting at connections with a media mogul, while Bozhanov accused "Revival" of vandalism and disrupting public order.

A key focus of the declaration is the planned reforms in the "Security" sector, aimed at completely eliminating Russian political influence in Bulgaria. The document not only condemns military aggression but also raises sharp political and diplomatic questions to Vladimir Putin's regime.

The discussions are expected to be extremely tense, as the topic of the Russian war in Ukraine continues to provoke sharp political debates in the Bulgarian parliament. The MPs will need to demonstrate a unified national position regarding the conflict.

The declaration represents another step by Bulgaria in support of the international community and condemning Russian military occupation. It aims to show a categorical position against political repressions and violations of international law by the Russian Federation.
