Students from the second "g" and fourth "a" grades of the "Lyuben Karavelov" Primary School in Burgas created a fairytale mix-up. The lesson, which turned into an educational adventure, was marked with teachers, students, and the Ozobot robot, provided by the Burgas Municipality program.
The color sensors of the Ozobot were used for interactive interaction, engaging the children in the learning process. Under the guidance of Mrs. Zhenya Zhekova and Mrs. Gergana Gineva-Yordanova, and with the support of the principal, International Reading Day - November 21 - was celebrated.
"We drew the students" attention to how important and enjoyable it is to read books. When there is continuity between older and younger students, the wisdom from books is absorbed much more easily," said Mrs. Zhekova.
Fourth-grade students contributed ideas, turning the lesson into a fun meeting of friends. Second graders transformed into reporters, conducting interviews about favorite books. A short scene from second grade presented the Bulgarian folk tale "The Most Beautiful," deciphered with the help of Ozobot.
"When a literary work is presented in the form of dramatization, it has a much stronger impact on the children,_q_ shared Mrs. Gergana Gineva-Yordanova.
