Another Drone Found Near Ahtopol: No Danger

An unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) has been found on the shore near Ahtopol. A team from the Navy is transporting it to the Naval Base - Burgas. The object poses no danger.

An unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) has been found on the shore near Ahtopol, which does not contain explosive material and does not pose a danger, the press center of the Ministry of Defense announced. The object has been transported to the Naval Base - Burgas.

The drone is the latest found in recent days. On April 14, a drone washed ashore on the southern beach in Nessebar, on April 12, a specialized team from the Navy destroyed a floating drone, and on April 3, a drone and a wing from a drone, found in the Black Sea, were neutralized by military personnel.

A specialized team from the Naval Base - Burgas, from the composition of the Navy (VMS), today carried out a task of reconnaissance and transportation of an unmanned aerial vehicle, which was thrown from the sea in the area of the “Dolphin” campsite, Ahtopol, the military ministry informed. During the reconnaissance, the object was identified as an aerial vehicle (drone), which does not contain explosive material, and does not pose a danger. 

The military personnel acted at the request of the Burgas regional administration and with a positive resolution from the Chief of Defense. The group for reconnaissance, marking, extraction, transportation and destruction of unexploded ordnance from the Naval Base was activated by order of the deputy commander of the Navy.
