The Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria, Velislava Delcheva, commented on current topics on bTV. She expressed outrage at the cases of illegal filming of women in beauty salons and doctors' offices, emphasizing the trampling of human dignity.
Delcheva pointed out that the victims should turn to the police, who will forward the information to the prosecutor's office. She noted the lack of specific rules for the protection of the footage, calling for a change in the Personal Data Protection Act and criminal liability for the perpetrators.
The Ombudsman also commented on the high electricity bills, calling on the Minister of Energy and the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (KEVR) for inspections. She expressed concerns that citizens have reason to doubt the bills and called for deferred payment.
Delcheva also addressed the parking problem in Sofia, noting that Sofia residents are disadvantaged by the changes in their functioning. She will send a recommendation to the mayor to find a solution that preserves parking, but with stricter control.
