Final verdict for the double murderer from Burgas
The Supreme Court of Cassation (SCC) has put an end to the judicial saga surrounding Stanimir Ragevski by upholding the sentence of "life imprisonment without parole." The decision is final and not subject to appeal.
The case against Ragevski went through all judicial instances, with the District and Appellate Courts in Burgas also imposing the harshest penalty.
Details of the crimes
- The murder of Teodora Bakhlova: Committed on October 29, 2020, with a firearm.
- The murder of Yumer Mehmed: Committed on August 4, 2021.
In addition to the two murders, Ragevski was found guilty of illegal possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number and ammunition, as well as possession of high-risk narcotic substances – marijuana and cocaine. The court combined all charges into a single cumulative sentence of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
