Restrictions on the Movement of Heavy Goods Vehicles on the National Holiday of March 3rd

The Road Infrastructure Agency is implementing movement restrictions for trucks over 12 tons on March 3rd on certain sections of the Trakia, Hemus, Struma motorways and road I-1 to facilitate traffic and improve safety. The ban does not apply to certain categories of vehicles.

For the National Holiday – March 3, from 12:00 to 20:00, the movement of heavy goods vehicles over 12 tons will be restricted on the "Trakia" Motorway, the "Hemus" Motorway, the "Struma" Motorway, and road I-1. The aim is to facilitate travel and increase safety.

The restriction does not apply to public passenger transport, the transport of dangerous goods, live animals, perishable foods, and sanitation trucks.

Reversible traffic is being introduced in the Simitli area to facilitate traffic towards Bansko and other resorts.

Drivers of trucks over 12 tons can use alternative routes.

The Road Infrastructure Agency appeals for careful driving.
