Most of the projects in the Pomorie Municipality's capital program for 2025 have been completed or are in the process of being implemented. This was stated by the mayor of the municipality, Ivan Aleksiev, in response to a question from municipal councilor Iva Kuseva regarding the stage of implementation of the projects. Among the already completed projects are the renovation of the courtyard of the “Veselushko” kindergarten in Pomorie, the major repair of the roof and facade of the home for the elderly in the village of Goritsa, as well as the reconstruction of the street lighting on “Morska” Street in the municipal center. A major repair of a section of “Prof. Stoyanov” Street has also been completed, with the allocation of additional parking spaces.
Several infrastructure projects have been completed, including the reconstruction of the intersection of “Knyaz Boris I” and “Evropa” streets, a major repair of the road Kableshkovo – Poroy – Galabets – Goritsa, as well as an investment project for the rehabilitation of the port in Pomorie. A number of activities have also been implemented in the field of education, including the construction of a STEM center in the school in Aheloy, as well as a gym in “Hristo Botev” Primary School in Pomorie, the administration's response indicates.
However, some of the projects are still in the process of implementation. These include the reconstruction of the water supply network in the villages of Galabets, Poroy and Goritsa, the repair of streets and water and sewerage infrastructure in the central part of Pomorie, as well as the renovation of a building for a family-type accommodation center in the village of Bata. Several projects have not started or have been dropped after an update of the capital program. Among the reasons are changes in the necessary funding, prescriptions from institutions or no longer necessary. For example, the repair of the gym in the school in the village of Bata has not started due to a prescription from the Regional Health Inspectorate.
Some of the planned activities will be implemented at a later stage or through other sources of funding, including through the Water and Sewerage operator or national programs, the Pomorie municipality specified.
