The total number of contracts signed so far exceeds 200, and the air conditioners installed under the project are over 300.
The mayor of the municipality, Nikolay Dimitrov, met with the participants in the program and announced that from next month the phased conclusion of contracts with the approved households for the installation of air-to-water heat pumps and pellet heating appliances will begin.

The project aims to reduce emissions of fine particulate matter, a significant part of which comes from domestic heating with solid fuel. It will be implemented until 2029 and gives all households that meet the conditions the opportunity to switch to ecological heating. For 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028, two intakes of applications per year are planned, until the available financial resources are exhausted.
The project has a total value of BGN 9,268,718.03, of which BGN 7,878,410.32 are provided by the European Regional Development Fund, and BGN 1,390,307.71 - from the state budget of the Republic of Bulgaria.
