Inspectors from the BFSA uncovered illegal warehouses for nitrous oxide. 507 packages without origin documentation were seized, having been stored in unregistered facilities.

Large-scale operation against the illegal trade of nitrous oxide

The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) conducted specialized inspections in Sofia and Pazardzhik, during which a total of 507 packages of nitrous oxide (laughing gas) were discovered, stored in violation of the Food Act.

The quantities found had no submitted documents for origin and quality, which poses a serious safety risk.
