Tsarevo Municipality responds to a letter from the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works regarding landslide processes in Ahtopol. After the processes have been qualified as a disaster, and not a landslide, the Municipality undertakes the following measures:
- Design of a new coastal promenade: All prescriptions from “Geozashtita” EOOD Varna are included. The project will be coordinated and approved after the issuance of a building permit. Note: In a year without a budget, the Municipality can only design, but not build.
- Reinforcement of the coastal slope: The work is subject to a separate project, due to the division of property ownership. Discussions are being held with the Regional Governor.
- Request for funding: A file is being prepared to the Interdepartmental Commission on Disasters and Accidents for funding as an emergency object.
- Restricting access: The zone is marked and restricted for passage to prevent incidents.
