Burgas Municipality Renovates Community Centers with EU Funds: Energy Efficiency and Better Conditions

Burgas Municipality is implementing a project for the energy renovation of community centers, funded by the National Recovery Plan. The goal is to achieve energy class "A" and improve conditions in cultural institutions. The project includes thermal insulation, replacement of windows and doors, new systems, and photovoltaic panels.

Burgas Municipality is implementing a project for the energy renovation of public cultural infrastructure, the Municipality announced. The project is financed under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The total value of the project is 2,493,572.43 leva, of which 1,744,151.62 leva is European funding, and 341,990.51 leva is the own contribution of Burgas Municipality.

The project envisages increasing the energy efficiency of the buildings of ten community centers, with the aim of achieving class "A". The activities include thermal insulation, replacement of windows and doors, construction of ventilation, heating and cooling systems, as well as the installation of photovoltaic systems.

The repaired buildings of the community centers "Paisii Hilendarski 1928", "Izgrev 1909", "Prosveta 1927" and "Probuda 1880" are about to be put into operation. Activities are currently being carried out in the remaining community centers: "Obnova 1923", "Svetlina 1928", "Probuda 1929", "Hristo Botev 1937", "Saglasie 1905" and "Angel Dimitrov 1929".

With the implementation of the project, the conditions in one third of the community centers on the territory of Burgas municipality will be improved.

Burgas Municipality is also applying for funding for the administrative building on "Kliment Ohridski" street to the National Trust EcoFund.
