In connection with the upcoming 72nd edition of the International Tour of Bulgaria, which will take place from August 30 to September 01, 2025, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Burgas announced the implementation of a large-scale temporary traffic organization. The race, which will pass through the territory of the Burgas region, requires phased restrictions that will affect both central urban areas and key road arteries in the region. Residents and guests of the region are urged to carefully monitor official announcements and comply with the instructions of police officers.
PROLOGUE AND FIRST STAGE: PRIMORSKO AND BURGAS AT THE EPICENTER
The event begins on August 30, 2025, with a prologue in Primorsko. At around 5:00 p.m., the start will be given in front of the Primorsko Municipality building, from where the cyclists will follow a 3.5-kilometer route, including "Cherno More" Street, "Ropotamo" Street, "St.St. Cyril and Methodius" Street, Coastal Promenade, and "Kraymorska" Street, before returning along "Cherno More" Street. The atmosphere in the seaside town will likely be festive, filled with the eager anticipation of fans to see their favorite competitors.
The next day, August 31, 2025, the official start of the First Stage is again in Primorsko, but this time at around 2:30 p.m. The competitors will depart from the Municipality building and head towards Burgas along road II-99. Traffic on the route from Primorsko, through the Ropotamo nature reserve, Arkutino, Sozopol, Chernomorets, and Atia to the Kraymorie road junction will be restricted in stages. The cyclists are expected to enter the city of Burgas at around 3:30 p.m., when they will pass through the roundabout at the intersection of "Zahari Stoyanov" Blvd. and "Todor Aleksandrov" Blvd. in the direction of the "Gorno Ezerovo" neighborhood.
The next part of the route will affect road III-7909, with traffic being restricted in the sections from "Gorno Ezerovo" neighborhood through the villages of Bratovo and Ravnets to Troyanovo. From there, on road III-539, there will be restrictions from Troyanovo through the villages of Vratitsa and Karanovo to the industrial zone of Aytos.
At around 4:30 p.m., the cyclists will travel from Aytos to Burgas along road I-6. Traffic will be restricted in stages along the route. In the interval from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., a complete ban on stopping, waiting, parking, and passing of vehicles will be introduced on key streets in Burgas:
- "Balgarka" Street in the "Vetren" neighborhood
- the section of road I-6 from "Trakia" Motorway to "Slaveykov" residential complex
- "Stefan Stambolov" Blvd.
- "San Stefano" Blvd.
- "Hristo Botev" Street
The finish of the first stage is in front of the Burgas Municipality building, where the competitors are expected to arrive at around 5:30 p.m.
FINAL STAGE FROM KARNOBAT TO KAZANLAK
The final day of the race, September 01, 2025, will be marked by the start of the Second Stage, which begins in Karnobat. At around 2:15 p.m., the cyclists will depart from the Karnobat Municipality, passing along "Ilarion Makariopolski" Street, "9-ti Septemvri" Blvd., and "Moskva" Street, to take road I-6 in the direction of the village of Venets. Traffic on the Karnobat – Venets section, and then in the direction of the village of Lozenets, Yambol region, will be restricted in stages. After leaving the borders of the Burgas region, the competitors will finish in Kazanlak.

It is essential to avoid risky overtakes, as well as to strictly comply with road signs, the temporary traffic organization, and the instructions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs control authorities.
