"St. Anastasia" Children's Hospital in Burgas receives operating permit
The "St. Anastasia" Children's Hospital in Burgas now officially holds a permit to carry out medical activities. The news was confirmed by the city's mayor, Dimitar Nikolov, marking a key step toward finalizing the project and welcoming the first young patients.
"With the receipt of the permit, the medical facility enters the final stage of preparation before the actual commencement of operations," the municipality stated.
Modern infrastructure and capacity
Located in the "Zornitsa" complex, the hospital is built to the highest standards. Construction began in early 2024 with the support of the European Investment Bank. The capacity of the medical facility exceeds 100 hospital beds.
Specialized medical care
The hospital will consolidate all major pediatric specialties in one place. The structure includes clinics for:
- Pediatric surgery, orthopedics, and traumatology
- Pediatric cardiology, endocrinology, and nephrology
- Pediatric neurology
- Gastroenterology, rheumatology, and hematology
- Anesthesiology and intensive care
- Infectious diseases and many others
An active recruitment process for medical staff is currently underway, and the Municipality of Burgas has announced a competition for a hospital manager to ensure the quality management of the health center.
