Cycling adventure for young and old in Burgas
On August 1st (Saturday), the Burgas Cycling Community and the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation are organizing a bike tour along the route Burgas – Poda – Fishing Village – Chengene Skele. The initiative is part of the "Velo Summer" campaign, which encourages children and young people to use bicycles as a safe and ecological means of transport.
The route is 17 km long and of low difficulty, making it perfect for a family ride.
What does the event include?
- Practical training: A lesson on road safety, group riding, and navigating bike lanes.
- Ecological focus: A stop at the "Poda" Nature Conservation Center to learn about biodiversity.
- Intermodal mobility: Return to Burgas by tourist boat – a sustainable alternative to private cars.
Information for participants:
- Start: 09:30 AM at the Lighthouse Keeper's Tower (Sea Station).
- Registration: Mandatory via email [email protected] by July 30th (3:00 PM) for boat spots (price 9.50 EUR).
- Activity: Students can track their summer kilometers through the WeRide.Today app.
Do not miss the opportunity to combine sports with nature! The organizers invite everyone interested to follow the "Velo Friday" page for upcoming events from the "Burgas: Nature on Wheels" project.
