Safety and easy navigation in the underwater world
A new underwater navigation line now facilitates access to the attractive underwater park near St. Anastasia Island. The initiative is the work of the "Friends of the Sea - Burgas" Association, whose volunteers built a permanent route connecting the island's shore to the concrete slab at the "St. Anastasia" underwater chapel.
How does the new system work?
The line is securely fixed, providing a reliable guide even in variable conditions. A special white rope has been used, which:
- Provides excellent underwater visibility;
- Can be seen from the surface in good visibility;
- Facilitates orientation for both beginner and advanced divers.
"The initiative is part of the efforts to develop the underwater park near St. Anastasia Island as a leading diving destination on the Southern Black Sea coast," the association shares.
Why is this important for tourism?
The new facility makes diving significantly safer and more accessible. Such projects make the Black Sea coast a more attractive place for lovers of the underwater world and develop Burgas' potential as a center for maritime tourism.
