Norway invests over 580 million euros in joint maritime coalition with the United Kingdom

The Norwegian Ministry of Defense announced a large-scale investment of nearly 6.7 billion Norwegian kroner (about 580 million euros) for the development of an international maritime coalition, co-led with the United Kingdom. The funds will be directed towards the development and production of unmanned maritime vessels in Ukraine.

Norway will invest significant financial resources within the framework of the maritime partnership with the United Kingdom. The Ministry of Defense of the Scandinavian country announced that it will allocate around 6.7 billion Norwegian kroner, which is equivalent to approximately 580 million euros, to support this international initiative. Minister Tore O. Sandvik stated that a part of the funds will be directed towards the development and production of unmanned maritime vessels, and this activity will be carried out in Ukraine. According to him, the corresponding bilateral agreement between Norway and the United Kingdom has already been finalized and signed.
