Nomination Committee Set a Date for Hearing Candidates for Anti-Corruption Body

Five high-ranking experts from various institutions will evaluate four candidates for members of the Anti-Corruption Commission at a special meeting.

The official nomination committee unanimously decided on the selection procedure for new members of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The experts determined that the candidates' hearing will be held on August 22 at 10:30, which was confirmed during today's meeting.

Four professionals are competing for membership in the anti-corruption body: lawyer Adelina Natina-Zikolova, legal expert Maria Daskalova, as well as ACC employees Petar Koev and Stoyan Petkov. During the meeting, the committee discussed additional documents submitted by lawyer Natina-Zikolova and unanimously decided that she would continue to the next stage of the competition procedure.

The nomination committee consists of five highly qualified representatives from various state institutions: Venera Milova - Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice, lawyer Nina Sedefova from the Supreme Bar Council, Judge Kalin Kalpakchiev from the Supreme Cassation Court, Aysun Akdzhiev - Ombudsman's Secretary General, and Silvia Kudreva, Deputy Chair of the National Audit Office.
