Hosting the start of the Giro d’Italia is a great honor and responsibility for our municipality. Our city, part of the UNESCO world family, will be a worthy host of one of the most impressive sporting events in the world. This was stated by the Mayor of Nessebar, Nikolay Dimitrov, quoted by the press center of the Municipality.

The energy and emotions that will fill our streets will turn Nessebar into a true stage for great sport. I believe that this will leave a lasting mark on the history of the city and will open up new horizons for the development of tourism in the entire region, added Nikolay Dimitrov. He also said that the international event is expected to attract thousands of visitors, participants and media from all over the world, solidifying Nessebar as a destination for sports and tourism.

BTA recalls that on May 8, the beginning of the first stage of the international cycling race Giro d’Italia will start from Nessebar.

The increased interest in the event creates an excellent opportunity for local businesses to actively participate by promoting their services through the official tourist site visitnessebar.bg. The platform provides access to a wide international audience and direct contact with the guests of the competition. Nessebar Municipality invites all interested parties to take advantage of this opportunity and become part of the city's presentation to the world.

This is only the 11th time that the prestigious cycling tour starts outside of Italy, making Bulgaria and Nessebar among the elite international hosts of the event, the Municipality of Nessebar said. It is expected that the Municipality will soon publish the program accompanying the big event by days and hours.
