Every year on August 15, Nessebar becomes a focus of spirituality, history, and festive emotions. The city's day coincides with the major Christian holiday Assumption of the Virgin – Nessebar residents call it the "brightest in the calendar", and the atmosphere attracts guests from all over Bulgaria and abroad.
Beginning with Spirituality and Solemnity
The holiday begins with a liturgy in the "Assumption of the Virgin" temple, the heart of the old city. After the service, the national flag is raised at "Julieta Shishmanova" square, with wishes for health and prosperity extended to the residents and guests of Nessebar. Representatives of the authorities, naval units, and local personalities are present.
Cultural Highlights and Entertainment
