Varna Day Celebrations – August 15
On August 15, the Dormition of the Theotokos, Varna celebrates its holiday with a rich program that combines spirituality, classics, and contemporary pop music.
The celebration begins with a solemn liturgy and the raising of the flags, followed by an official ceremony at the Summer Theater.
Event Schedule:
- 7:00 PM – Summer Theater: Presentation of honorary titles and a concert with the "Varna" ensemble and Orlin Pavlov.
- 8:30 PM – Independence Square: "By the Fountain" concert by the Varna State Opera Orchestra, conducted by Nayden Todorov.
- 9:00 PM – Pantheon: Grand festive concert with local artists and the participation of Dara.
- 11:00 PM – Festive fireworks, followed by the finale of the musical program.
Despite the controversies regarding the event budget, the Municipality of Varna guarantees a festive atmosphere for the residents and guests of the seaside capital.
