Nessebar Municipality continues the implementation of the project "Nessebar is for Cleaner Air," which is aimed at introducing energy-efficient heating solutions. The initiative, which covers the entire municipality, will run until 2029 with the goal of replacing outdated appliances in a total of 1,320 households.
Citizens are showing strong interest in the free replacement, with nearly 900 applications submitted so far. As of now, about 400 contracts have been signed, and 350 new heating units have already been installed. At the same time, 451 stoves, fireplaces, and boilers using solid fuel have been dismantled and removed.
"These results show the real impact of the program and the growing commitment of Nessebar's residents to a cleaner and healthier urban environment. Replacing old heating appliances contributes to reducing harmful emissions, improving air quality, and at the same time, provides households with more convenient, safe, and efficient heating," commented the Mayor of Nessebar Municipality, Nikolay Dimitrov.
The local administration is urging residents to take advantage of the program's opportunities. According to the municipality, every replacement of an old appliance is a direct step toward improving the living environment in the region.
