Nesebar Municipality informs the public about the current situation with the quality of drinking water in some of the key settlements in the area. "Water and Sewerage" EAD – Burgas, jointly with the Regional Health Inspectorate (RZI) – Burgas, continue the extraordinary sampling of the central water supply network. These checks cover both the town of Nesebar, as well as the town of Sveti Vlas, the Sunny Beach resort complex, the village of Kosharitsa and the Elenite villa settlement. The aim is to conduct detailed analyses of the water, with special attention being paid to chemical and microbiological indicators.
The results of the latest laboratory tests, covering drinking water in Sveti Vlas and Elenite, reveal certain deviations. Violations of microbiological indicators have been established, which is the reason for taking urgent measures by the water supply company. In order to deal with the problem, "Water and Sewerage" has increased the amount of chlorine supplied. This step aims to strengthen the disinfection of the water, thus striving to eliminate the identified problems.
At the same time, in the remaining settlements under the jurisdiction of Nesebar Municipality, no deviations in the quality of drinking water have been reported. This means that the problems remain localized in specific areas.
The testing laboratory at "Water and Sewerage" – Burgas continues the intensive monitoring of the affected settlements. Laboratory teams work around the clock to ensure that the quality of the water meets all standards. Samples will continue to be analyzed until permanent and consistent results are achieved that satisfy the requirements for the quality of drinking water intended for domestic purposes.
Nesebar Municipality declares its readiness to inform the public about all subsequent changes and new data received by the administration. Residents of the municipality can be sure that the municipality is closely monitoring the situation and taking the necessary measures to ensure safe drinking water.
