The Speaker of the National Assembly, Natalia Kiselova, has resigned, the editorial team reports today. Her decision comes at a time of increased political tension, and the resignation raises questions about the future of parliament and the country's governance.

"Today, I submitted a statement, with which I am withdrawing from the position of Speaker of the National Assembly," Kiselova states in her statement. Her declaration, addressed to the nation, sheds light on her motivation for withdrawing from the post.

She emphasizes the importance of responsibility to the voters, noting that "we owe it to the citizens who voted for all of us a year ago, to the citizens who did not go to exercise their right to vote a year ago." These words emphasize the Speaker's awareness of the need to work for the benefit of all citizens, regardless of their political affiliations.

Kiselova also does not fail to note the chronic political crisis that the country has been experiencing in recent years. "The political crisis has not subsided in the past 5 years," she states. The absence of skills for mutual understanding and coalition culture, according to her, are among the main problems that need to be overcome.

In her statement, Kiselova also emphasizes the role of her parliamentary group. "As a Member of Parliament and as part of the BSP PG, we have proven that in critical moments for the state, we can be responsible at the height of the historical moment," she says. This can be seen as an attempt to defend the group's work in difficult times.

Natalia Kiselova concludes her statement with specific clarifications on the procedure for changing the speaker's post. "Today I am withdrawing and thus showing how one should act with a sense of duty and responsibility towards parliamentary practice in the conditions of joint governance. The Rules of Procedure have provided for how to proceed in such cases, namely - the deputy chairman from the largest parliamentary group. It was an honor for me!" These words suggest that she is stepping down in accordance with existing procedures and demonstrates respect for parliamentary norms.
