The National Assembly is preparing for one of the most important steps at the beginning of its work – the structuring of the standing parliamentary committees. The proposal, submitted by Petar Vitanov and the "Progressive Bulgaria" Parliamentary Group, has officially entered the deputies' agenda following a meeting of the Council of Chairpersons.

The committees are the "engine" of the legislative process, where the details of every draft law are debated before it reaches the plenary hall.
