Increased fiscal control along the Southern Black Sea coast
The National Revenue Agency (NRA) is beginning massive inspections of commercial establishments along the Southern Black Sea coast. The campaign is aimed at ensuring fair competition and compliance with tax and social security legislation during the active summer season.
Hundreds of establishments are under surveillance, including restaurants, shops, attractions, parking lots, and nightclubs.
What will inspectors be checking?
- Secret shoppers: Performing test purchases to verify the reporting of turnover.
- Fiscal discipline: Strictly monitoring the issuance of receipts for every sale.
- Employment: Checking whether seasonal workers are employed under labor contracts and whether social security requirements are being met.
Consumer rights
The NRA reminds consumers that they have the right to request a receipt for every purchase. In case of identified violations, citizens can report them to the revenue agency or verify the validity of their fiscal receipt via the NRA mobile application.
