The National Revenue Agency (NRA) conducts around 400 inspections daily in recent days, and this will continue at least until the middle of the month. This was announced by Anna Mitova, Director of the “Communications” Directorate at the NRA.

The inspections are aimed at commercial establishments offering various services, to ensure compliance with the requirements of the law for the introduction of the euro. The main focus is on whether prices are fixed first in euros and then in levs, as well as on unreasonable price increases.

To date, 69 acts have been imposed for unreasonable price increases. Penal decrees have already been delivered to 9 traders. Documents are requested from another 300 establishments. Violations have been detected in about 10% of the inspected establishments.

The NRA responds to signals and points out that false information about increased prices is circulating on social networks. At the beginning of next week, there will be summarized information from the inspections throughout the country.
