Nadezhda Dimitrova from the art school at the Center for Personal and Extracurricular Activities-Burgas, with instructor Sevina Traykova, won an honorary award from the 25th International Children's Drawing Competition JQA in Japan. 9,907 drawings on the theme “Let's Hear the Voice of the Earth” participated in the competition.
The Burgas student reached the final stage and was awarded an honorary award. Her work is included in the official calendar and brochure with the award-winning participants – recognition for her talent and the worthy presentation of Bulgaria.
Since 1999, the Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA) and the International Certification Network (IQNET) have organized the International Children's Drawing Competition on the theme of the environment JQA with the support of UNICEF – Tokyo office, Tokyo, Japan. The prestigious initiative unites thousands of children from all over the world around the cause of preserving nature and encourages young people to express their position on global environmental issues through art.
