Bulgaria and the USA deepen economic cooperation and investment

Minister Alexander Pulev and AmCham discussed new investment opportunities in energy and AI. Trade between the two countries has doubled in five years.

Bulgaria strengthens partnership with the US in key sectors

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Alexander Pulev held a meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Bulgaria), focused on attracting new American investments.

"The United States is a key strategic partner for Bulgaria, both geopolitically and economically," stated Minister Pulev.

Promising sectors for development

Among the main areas with high potential for cooperation, the following were highlighted:

The Ministry of Economy is preparing a bill on public-private partnerships, which aims to facilitate the attraction of private capital into large-scale infrastructure projects. Emphasis was also placed on improving administrative services for strategic investors, with businesses calling for greater stability and predictability of the regulatory environment.

Growth in trade volume

Data show impressive growth in trade relations – trade between Bulgaria and the US has more than doubled over the last five years, reaching $2.290 billion in 2025.
