Ministry of Interior initiates proceedings regarding threats against a journalist
The acting Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Chief Commissioner Lyubomir Nikolov, has ordered an immediate investigation in connection with reports circulated in the media space regarding threats made against a journalist.
As a matter of urgency, the Director of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Burgas must report whether any complaints have been received at the directorate and what actions have been taken regarding them.
The ministry's press center specifies that the actions were taken in order to clarify the case. In the event that no official complaints have been filed at this time, law enforcement authorities will initiate proceedings ex officio to ensure the safety of the media representative.
