An organization has been established within all structures of the Ministry of Interior to ensure peaceful holiday days. “Traffic Police” is undertaking a large-scale specialized police operation using the “wide-ranging control” method on the “Struma” motorway.

Checks will be carried out on documents, seat belts, child seats, and the technical condition of the vehicles. In case of violations, drivers will be diverted for additional checks, including the imposition of fines. Checks for alcohol and drug use will be conducted. There will also be linear control of drivers with aggressive behavior.

Intense traffic is expected for the upcoming Easter holidays, and therefore the teams of “Traffic Police” will be on the roads in increased numbers, with unbranded vehicles also participating. All available automated technical means for speed control will be actively used.

In parallel, the “Security Police” will ensure order during the festive events. There will be an increased presence around the temples, with officers monitoring for suspicious behavior and abandoned objects. Attention has also been paid to the safety of organized trips for children.

The teams of the General Directorate “Fire Safety and Protection of the Population” are also ready. Preventive checks have been carried out in churches and accommodation facilities, and duty teams and equipment have been provided at places with expected crowds of people.
