Maritime Administration inspection near Pomorie

The Executive Agency "Maritime Administration" conducted an urgent extraordinary inspection in the area of the motor ship "Kairos". The reason for the teams' actions was the receipt of reports regarding possible sea water pollution in the water area between Pomorie and the Sarafovo district.

During two inspections of the hull and the adjacent water area, the experts did not detect any leaks from the vessel.

Actions to contain the situation

During the inspections, within a radius of 1.5 nautical miles, isolated colored spots were observed on the water surface. The teams immediately took measures to neutralize them by treating them with an authorized dispersant.

Results of subsequent monitoring

The "Maritime Administration" continues with control patrols in the area, and the situation remains under constant surveillance to ensure the security of the marine environment.
