The caretaker Council of Ministers approved funding for the judiciary for 2026 in the amount of 2,098,877 euros to ensure the activity of the Supreme Administrative Court, the government press service announced.
According to the provisions, by January 1, 2026, the Supreme Judicial Council should provide the necessary conditions for the normal functioning of the Supreme Administrative Court, in order to avoid delays in the consideration of cases subject to the court, as well as to prevent excessive workload on the judges.
The need for additional funding is related to the amendments to the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the State Property Act, published in the "State Gazette", No. 74 of 2025, the decision also states.
In the draft budget submitted by us, an 11% increase in personnel expenses, which cover everyone in the justice system, has been approved. This was said at the end of last year by the Minister of Justice, Georgi Georgiev.
