A man who was operating an electric scooter under the influence of alcohol sustained a head injury after a fall and was taken to the hospital, according to law enforcement officials. The incident raises questions about road safety and the responsibility of road users.
According to information from the police, the incident occurred on October 20th around 8:36 PM in the area near building 57 in the residential complex "Meden Rudnik". A 49-year-old man from Burgas, operating an electric vehicle, suffered a single-vehicle accident after consuming alcohol. The driver fell onto the roadway.
An alcohol test was performed at the scene, and the breathalyzer registered 2.40 per mille. After an examination by a medical team at the "Heart and Brain" hospital, it was found that the man had sustained a head contusion, but without danger to his life. He refused hospitalization and was released for home treatment.
