The Capital City Center for Urban Mobility (CGM) has launched a large-scale initiative to completely transform neglected parking spaces in various urban areas. The company's strategy aims to eliminate the so-called "muddy spots" and improve urban infrastructure.

CGM experts focused their activities on several key locations: parking lot on Belomorski Prohod Street in the Lozenets district, Mala Planina terrain, space between blocks 14 and 16 on Dimitar Manov Street in the Ivan Vazov neighborhood. Additionally, sections of Saint Vrach Street and the southern sidewalk of Oborishte were renovated.

The project's financing is implemented through an innovative mechanism - 30% of the revenue from vignette stickers in paid parking zones is directly reinvested in improving the urban environment. This approach ensures that funds from residents are returned to their infrastructure.

The reconstruction began at the end of the previous month, with the first two sites located in the Triaditsa and Lozenets districts. CGM management emphasized that all locations were selected after thorough consultations with district mayors.

Additionally, the organization continues to work on improving horizontal and vertical markings in parking zones. Recently, a series of unmaintained sections were removed in the Triaditsa, Lozenets, and Vazrazhdane districts.
