A specialized police operation in Sozopol prevented a large-scale distribution of nitrous oxide among local drinking establishments. Joint teams from the "Economic Police" sector at ODMIR - Burgas and RU - Sozopol carried out a large-scale seizure of illegal quantities of dinitrogen oxide.

During a precise action, a total of 236 vials with a total mass of 670 grams were seized, along with numerous latex balloons intended for distribution in local bars. The seizure was carried out immediately after their purchase by a 35-year-old man of Sofia origin.

Two days before the main operation, police officers had already confiscated significant quantities of the substance in two vehicles parked in the "Akladi" area near Chernomorets. In the first car, 51 boxes with six vials of 670 grams each and additional 50 vials of 2000 grams were found.

The second vehicle, owned by the company "Genesha-24" EOOD with a distinctive blue color, contained 12 vials of 670 grams and three vials of 2000 grams. All seized quantities, including the balloons, were officially detained by law enforcement.

Currently, an official case has been opened at RU - Sozopol, and the investigation continues to determine the origin and full extent of nitrous oxide distribution.
