A specialized police operation conducted by officers from the Second District Directorate in Ruse broke up a local drug group operating in the city center. The initial signal came in on July 8 around 11 PM, when criminal investigators noticed a suspicious 29-year-old man in close proximity to a specific residential property.
During the check, police officers seized aluminum foil with a crystal substance which the detained person identified as methamphetamine. According to initial data, the substance was purchased from a 71-year-old woman residing in the property in question.
The next day - July 9, a joint team from the "Criminal Police" and "Special Tactical Actions" sectors undertook extensive actions to document and detain the involved individuals. The operation ended with the arrest of four people: a 71-year-old woman and three men aged 24, 29, and 52, all residents of Ruse.
During the procedural investigative actions, criminal investigators seized significant quantities of narcotic substances - about 30 grams of methamphetamine and 80 grams of marijuana. Additionally, specialized devices and tools used for packaging and storing drugs were discovered.
The pre-trial proceedings are being conducted under Article 354a of the Criminal Code under the direct supervision of the local prosecutor's office, with the investigation continuing in full force.
